Interview with softball player Michelle Sass

Michelle Sass played softball at Oregon State University and graduated in 2019. At OSU, she was a utility player, usually playing left field, right field or second base. She has her degree in Pre-Med and Kinesiology. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Alabama about to graduate with her master’s degree in Kinesiology and Sport Administration. She also is working full time at the University of Idaho as an Academic Advisor and Tutor Coordinator for Student Athletes. She grew up in Saint Helens, Oregon which is about 45 minutes north of Portland. She loves to hunt and fish, do outdoors activities, loves country music, going to country concerts, and spending time with her family.

You can listen to the podcast here.

In our conversation we talked about choosing her career path and how playing college sports played a role in that. We talked about how life is different after college sports. Something that was mentioned that is super important is about how the people you meet in college are going to be your friends for life even if they’re not there physically in the same area as you anymore. She talked about her favorite moment in college being her first start. I loved this conversation because we were honest on lots of topics and ended on a great note that playing college sports was a great experience and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
